It went up for sale 24 hours ago..... I have 2 people coming in the morning to check it out and I've got 2 people offering me half the asking price ummm fawk u.... and I've got a couple check scammers placing offers.... they will have their secretaries cut me a check if I send them my address and name and mobile number.... I told them I have to meet them down to da walmarts for a handshake before I can sell but I really want to sell to them cause I think they are the most honest. Smile FU

Say by by to the pretty starcraft. I will watch it go with a tear in my eye.

It's sad to see it go but your right... if you don't have time to use it it's better to let it go and get your money out of it now then wait until it's in fair shape and lose it.

too bad someone didn't offer you a teardrop trailer...... Thats the problem these days..... everyone wants something for free... or close to it... Usually when I buy something I try not to lowball them.. but most of the time when I buy something I know what it's actually worth or what I could "get" out of it..

I can't stand the lowballers and no shows. Hopefully the right people will come along, someone who appreciates that boat as much as you do. Smile

I'll relist it with a list of things I would be willing to trade I guess. There's an old story about a guy who traded 1 red paperclip for a house. He kept trading up and the trades became more and more valuable until the final trade which was a house. Maybe thats the approach I should be taking.

I don't neccesarily need the cash.

Dave your comment about trading for a teardrop.... I am getting ready to sell my teardrop and will be fixing up my canned ham instead. As it turns out my wife is pregnant with twins and soon enough that teardrop will not be big enough. I could set up a side tent but part of the reason for teardropping is convenience. Setting up tents does not qualify as convenient.

I'm really in the market for a volkswagon beetle though. Smile

Are you talking about the teardrop or the canned ham? The canned ham is 13' long but tall enough to stand in. The teardrop is a fraction that size

I have a hard enough time getting mine to not sleep with us while camping... Trying to get the oldest two to stay in a tent.. but as soon as they wake up from the littlest noise.. there in with us...

Any bites on that yet?

Calico, I've been down this road before, and nope... Kids have their own room once they start sleeping all night. They will have to get used to the side tent. I don't see them camping for the first year, but once they are able to walk, I dont see what eating some bugs and dirt could hurt. I figure if you grow up in a hospital clean setting, you don't get to build up your immune system. Clean is for at home on school nights. Smile

As for bites on the boat, its not an easy sale. Everyone wants me to buy the coil and install it so they can go on a test ride. They are missing the point, that its priced according to condition. I've explained to a few of them that yes I'll fix it but the price goes up by 500 bucks. The whole reason I'm selling as is, is that I'm just lazy and didn't want to mess with it.

I have an offer for a couple of jetski's that I'm going to entertain and take a look at. One of them runs and the other is a parts ski. I'm really more interested in the parts ski for its parts. I've always wanted to build something small/long like a gheenoe and put a jet pump in it. It would allow for good speed to get there, but easy rowing and no worries about pushing it over a log without having to pull up the motor and beaching will be a breeze too. A parts jet ski would be a perfect donor. The working ski is just a great bonus. Smile

The individual wanting to trade, wants the boat for all the right reasons too. I'd rather trade to him as he wants it for the style and form instead of just trying to find a cheap way to get on the water. I'd rather someone who appreciates it for what it is have it as they are more likely to make it pretty again. (I know I shouldn't care, but........)

I'll keep ya posted if I do end up with the ski's...
